This program is aimed at creating studio producers for the commercial music industry. Students will be trained in the industry areas of studio recording and production including surround, music for film and video, song writing arranging, electronic music, concert practice, history, theory rhythm studies, aural, keyboard skills, professional practice and professional management.

Students need to have completed a Certificate IV in Music or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant stream of study, and pass an audition/interview. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS an overall band score of 6.0 (with no individual band score of less than 6) or TOEFL scores: 550 (PBT) including TWE of 5, 213 (CBT) with an essay rating of 5 and 80 (IBT) with no individual score less than 20. They should have obtained GCE O Levels with Grade C or better or other acceptable qualifications from ECU International.
